United Way Fort McMurray & Wood Buffalo hosts inaugural Red Tie Gala
The United Way Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo is hosting their first Red Tie Gala in support of the organization and their members.
The Gala will take place in the Shell Place Grand Ballroom in the New Year and will raise funds to support the United Way Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Community Campaign.
The United Way supports 14 different non-profit organizations across the region who provide important services to the community. This past Saturday, the organization kicked off their annual Community Campaign, a campaign that in 2021 exceeded their $3.5 million goal, raising $3.6 million. This was the first campaign since 2014 to meet the Campaign goal.
The Red Tie Gala will be an opportunity to contribute to this year’s Campaign during an evening of dinner and dancing.
“Let’s come together to build a strong, vibrant region where everyone has the opportunity to thrive,” says Cathy Steeves, Executive Director of United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo. “It’s time to come together as ONE family and pledge our support to each and every member of the community.”
