Linda is a long-term resident of Wood Buffalo; she is a strong supporter of the natural beauty of our region. Linda has made many contributions, advocating, and providing a voice for children and youth as well as seniors in our community.
Linda served as chair of the RMWB Advisory Committee on Aging for five years, Linda played an important role in the development of the RMWB Age Friendly Workplan. Linda’s influences have resulted in many conversations and changes, providing a positive impact on social and physical environments for seniors in our region.
Linda has and continues to make contributions to children and youth in our community. Linda has served as trustee for the Ft. McMurray Public School District since 2010. She has been involved in numerous activities at various levels within the school district. She has been a school council chair, and volunteered numerous hours in the classroom, school athletics, music, field trips and special events! She has also provided positive leadership and mentoring for the Student Advisory Group. Linda truly appreciates hearing student voices and student perspectives.
Linda is a board director for the Wood Buffalo Food Bank and is often seen volunteering her time during community food drives. It doesn’t matter how cold it is you can always depend on Linda to be there.
For the past 30 years, Linda has been an active member of her church community contributing in multiple capacities.
You will often see Linda with a big smile, engaged in conversation about her wonderful family and grandchildren as well as The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo!
