Alpine skiing competition at the Arctic Winter Games consists of four events: slalom, giant slalom, parallel slalom, and a team event.
Archery
Number of participants: 22
Location: Indoor Turf, Shell Place (MacDonald Island Park)
Scheduled Dates: February 1-3, 2023
Making its Arctic Winter Games debut, archery will feature competition in Barebow and Compound classes. There will be up to two athletes in each class, male and female divisions.
Each class will compete in individual and mixed-team competitions. Individual scoring rounds followed by head-to-head elimination provide increasing excitement in the multi-day events.
Arctic Sports

Arctic Sports consists of several unique events that highlight an athlete’s endurance and athletic strength. Events include the One-Foot High Kick, Two-Foot High Kick, Alaskan High Kick, Kneel Jump, Sledge Jump, Triple Jump, Arm Pull, Airplane, One Hand Reach, Head Pull and Knuckle Hop.
Badminton

Badminton competition categories at the Arctic Winter Games include singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Competition begins with round-robin play, followed by a medal round. A team contingent includes eight players and two coaches.

A team consists of up to 24 athletes and two coaches.
Curling

Each contingent can send up to eight athletes and two coaches to compete in curling at the Arctic Winter Games.
Dene Games

The Dene Games are rooted in traditional and cultural values and feature a number of unique events. This includes finger pull, snowsnake, stick pull, hand games (team) and pole push (team). There is also an all-around event, with Ulus awarded based on top combined scores for the three individual events.
A team consists of up to sixteen athletes.
Figure Skating

Figure Skating competition categories at the Arctic Winter Games include females born between 2004 and 2012. A team consists of up to eight athletes and two coaches from each participating contingent.
Futsal

Futsal at the Arctic Winter Games is held in three age categories.
A team consists of nine athletes and up to two coaches.
Gymnastics

Gymnastics at the Arctic Winter Games features a team competition (total team score on all four events), an individual all-around (total score on all four events) and event finals (individual score for each event). Athletes compete in the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
A team consists of one coach and four athletes.
Hockey

Male Hockey
Teams participate in a round-robin tournament to determine seeding for medal-round pairings and then playoffs to compete for the top prize. Each team is comprised of up to 17 players and up to four coaches.
Female Hockey
Females born in 2003 or later will compete for the gold Ulu at the Arctic Winter Games.

Snowboarding

A combined total of 20 gold Ulus will be awarded to males and females. A team consists of up to four male and four female athletes.

Wrestling at the Arctic Winter Games includes a team competition consisting of a dual meet round-robin tournament, as well as individual competition and optional Inuit wrestling competition in each weight class.
A wrestling team consists of up to 12 athletes in different weight categories.
