Santas Claus Parade and Council’s Starry Night Holiday Party

December 2 at 5 p.m.

Council’s Starry Night Holiday Party At Kiyām Park

Starry Night, tthen dach’lyi lą̨t’e (Dene), ahcâkosak mîyo nakosôwak (Cree), will mark the first time an in-person tree and tipi lighting is being held at Kiyām Community Park! Get into the holiday spirit before the parade with the holiday train available from 1 – 5 p.m. Council’s Starry Night holiday party will begin at 5 p.m. and includes carolers and drummers, free hot chocolate and snacks, story time with an Elder, magical decorations and a tree and tipi lighting ceremony.

Santa Claus Parade begins at Franklin Ave. and Main St. at 6 p.m.

Following Council’s holiday party, head over to Franklin Ave. as Santa makes his way to Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo! The parade route is changing this year, starting at Franklin Ave. and Main St. and travelling south towards Riedel St.

Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre – Joy Unspeakable Joy

December 3

You are invited to a Christmas production: Joy Unspeakable Joy. This event is sponsored and performed by members of Family Christian Centre. Featuring an Adult Choir which will perform several songs, a live band, vocal solos, a special feature from the kids choir, and so much more. Christmas is a time of sharing so share this with all your friends and family, and come experience Joy Unspeakable Joy this Christmas.

Oh Holy Night:

Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre – St. Anne Grades 1 – 3 Christmas Concert

December 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Strap in for the jolliest of rides with St. Anne School’s grade 1,2 and 3 students in “Jingle Bell Jukebox,” where they flip holiday music on its head and deck the halls with pop and pizzazz. It’s an adorable mash-up of vocals and giggles as they jazz-hand their way through twisted carols and rockin’ reindeer tunes. This holiday extravaganza leaves the audience in stitches, humming catchy tunes, and basking in the glow of youthful cheer that could out-twinkle the star atop the Christmas tree!

Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre – St. Anne Grades 4 – 6 Christmas Concert

December 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Dude, Do You Hear What I Hear is a rollicking adventure for families that no one should miss hearing. The story takes place in our very own Peter Pond Mall. It includes a brave little girl, self-absorbed mannequins, bumbling security guards, an overly dramatic TV reporter, and fun upbeat music. The students all come together to tell the Real Christmas Story.
