(She/Her)
Class of 2022
Line is such a kind and gentle soul. She is passionate and caring in all she does.
As a French Immersion teacher with Fort McMurray Public School Division, she brings a warmth and encouragement to the students she teaches, which is just one of the reasons Line is one of this year’s Top 50 Under 50.
YMM: What is the most rewarding part of your career?
LL: I love to see the sparkles in the children’s eyes when you teach them something new or when they finally grasp a concept. When children smile coming to school!
YMM: What would you say to your 10-year-old self?
LL: Believe in yourself, and do not listen to your bullies! You are far from what they say you are! You will achieve great things!
YMM: Who is your hero, and why?
LL: My mom. As a single mom, she raised three kids by herself, she never got discouraged (at least she did not show it), she did not let life bring her down, and she persevered. She is a fighter! She overcame a lot of obstacles, and I barely ever saw her cry. She is my hero!
YMM: What motivates you?
LL: I live by the idea that everything happens for a reason, and usually, you reap what you sow. I try to live by that, trying to set good examples for others. I am also trying to treat people the way I want to be treated.
YMM: For what are you most grateful?
LL: I have a lot to be grateful for. I am very fortunate to be able to work in my childhood dream job. I am grateful to have a family and a boyfriend by my side that I love and that are very supportive of any decision I make or action I do. I have very good friends that are there for me. What else can I ask for?
YMM: How should success be measured?
LL: If you set yourself some goals and you achieve them, this is success. Success is different for everyone. A success in my eyes might be seen differently by someone else.
