Your McMurray Magazine’s 2022 Best of YMM: Readers’ Choice

Welcome to our third ever Best of YMM – Readers’ Choice, the edition of Your McMurray Magazine that focuses on the absolute best in our community!
First launched in 2019 and warmly received by our readers, we presented the Best of YMM once again in 2021, and it has become a very highly-anticipated and well-received community initiative in the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo. There’s a chance you’ve even spotted the winners’ certificates around town!
This year, the Best of YMM edition is presented by Hines Health Services, a local business that is also passionate about recognizing the businesses that are contributing positively to our community.
Putting together this edition also requires a lot of help from our readers. By engaging with our community through a robust online nomination process and voting campaign, we assemble a list of your favourites..from the best food to the best people and the best places to a lot of other things in between.

So how do we do this, exactly? We start with a nomination period where we ask the community to share with us who they feel are the very best in the different categories. Next, we sort through all of the nominations and figure out who has received the most votes in each category. We then announce the finalists in each category and ask everyone to vote for their favourites from the list of finalists. And then we tally it all up once again and determine the winners and the runners-up!
And then we announce the winners…on the pages you’re about to read!
