The team at YMM and Balsom Communications absolutely loves to celebrate the Best of YMM each year in our signature recognition program for the people and businesses making our region a great place to live, work and play!
With over 4,000 nominations cast and almost 10,000 legal votes, this is a program that is fueled by YOU – our readers.
Another exciting component of this edition of YMM is the beginning of a new signature program – this one recognizes some of the best seniors and elders and their contributions to our region. The 60+ Impact Awards celebrating seniors’ and elders’ contributions to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is a program in partnership with a community selection panel and celebrates 14 individuals I promise are worth celebrating and reading more about beginning at page 35. It is incredible to know that our region was built on the backs of these dedicated and inspirational people who demonstrate to us just how vibrant our region is.
Enjoy the Best of YMM and be sure to get out and support all of the local businesses that are part of this program and part of our region. Local businesses are the backbone of our local economy and need our support now more than ever and with all of the incredible options highlighted in this year’s edition, you’ll have a blast and your taste buds will be sure to thank you too!
